Castrol Classic XXL40 is a high quality, Low detergency traditional mono grade engine oil for single and multi-cylinder engines that pre date 1950 in cars and pre date 1970 for motorcycles, this oil can cope with both road and competition conditions. Unlike modern engine oils, this Castrol classic lubricant is low detergency, this can be essential for any un-restored or unknown condition engines where deposits may be sealing the engine block, a high level of detergency could removing these deposits and may cause oil leaks and potentially loosen internal debris into oil circulation blocking oil ways.

Castrol Classic XXL 40 must not be mixed with either Castrol R40 or any other synthetic or castor/synthetic based oils.

Application:

• Veteran, vintage and classic cars / bike that require SAE 40 lubricant
• For petrol engines pre dating 1950 in Cars & 1970 in Motorcycles
• Suitable for both engine and some gearbox use
