Privacy Policy
RS Cars Ltd promise to protect your personal and credit card information with the highest levels of data privacy and security. Online payment security is important to you and it's important to us.
Within the secure areas of our web site (login / basket / checkout), we protect the security of your information during transmission by using 128 bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, which makes sure that the information you input to our web site is secure between your computer and our web site.
Our web site infrastructure is scanned by IT Security firm Security Metrics for security problems and has a clean bill of health.
RS Cars Ltd do not store your credit card details.
Our website uses the Sage Pay payment gateway to authorise your card payment. We reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to Sage Pay during order processing. All transaction information passed between RS Cars Ltd and the Sage Pay systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to www.opieoils.co.uk servers from Sage Pay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing passed to the Sage Pay servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
Sage Pay has achieved the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI). They adhere to the most stringent levels of fraud screening, ensuring that your details remain secure throughout the transaction process.
Sage Pay has multiple private links into the banking network that are completely separate from the Internet and which do not cross any publicly accessible networks. Any cardholder information sent to the banks and any authorisation message coming back is secure and cannot be tampered with. No individuals within Sage Pay are able to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data. Their systems only allow access to their most senior staff and only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police). Your transaction information and customer card information is secure even from Sage Pay's employees because their systems never display the full card numbers, even on administration screens.
RS Cars Ltd maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of personally identifiable customer information, including the use of secure data centres and network firewalls. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we disclose personal information to you.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when you finish using a shared computer.
