Castrol Spheerol LCX 6002 Off Road NLGI2 Grease employs a unique combination of polymeric and EP additives to give the highest levels of extreme pressure wear resistance combined with outstanding water resistance and adhesion. The highly refined mineral base stock has a viscosity of 600 cSt at 40°C which gives excellent hydrodynamic protection in slow to medium speed / heavily loaded bearings and contributes to the exceptional water resistance of the product. The operating temperature range of Spheerol LCX 6002 is -20°C to +160°C. Application Spheerol LCX 6002 excels in a wide range of demanding off-road applications including conveyors, chassis points, bucket pins, heavily loaded plain bearing in shovel loaders and other mining/construction equipment. It uses an advanced water handling additive technology that gives the product the ability to resist washout and water contamination in operation.

The additive system used in Spheerol LCX 6002 also reacts with water and becomes tackier when used in wet conditions. This tends to keep the grease in NLGI grade even with water contanmination up to ~ 20% by weight. Extensive fieldtesting shows that Spheerol LCX 6002 also has exceptional 'stay in place' performance in all environments. Advantages Ultimate EP protection contributes to extended bearing life and reduced maintenance down time.

Outstanding water resistance maximises protection, reduces grease consumption and increases re-grease intervals particularly in off-road and construction applications. Excellent 'stay in place' performance means minimum re-greasing and equipment down time. Excellent oxidation resistance characteristics enable the product to operate for extended periods in a wide range of climates.
